Tableau Reporting Analyst

Duration: 12 months plus (possible extension or conversion)

Location: Irving, TX 75039 (3 days Hybrid)

We are seeking an experienced Tableau Developer with a strong background in risk management and regulatory frameworks within the financial industry. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of database and middleware technologies and possess advanced skills in business processes, systems, and tools used in the risk and controls environment. This role requires a strategic thinker who can analyze complex data, identify opportunities, and communicate insights effectively to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Tableau Report Creation and Optimization:

  • Develop, design, and optimize Tableau reports and dashboards to provide clear and actionable insights.
  • Work on report modeling to enhance data visualization and ensure that reports are both user-friendly and informative.
  • Continuously improve existing Tableau reports for performance, usability, and accuracy.

Risk Management and Regulatory Compliance:

  • Apply your familiarity with risk management frameworks and industry standards to ensure that all reports and data analysis meet financial industry regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with risk management teams to understand and address compliance issues through effective data reporting.

Database and Middleware Technology Expertise:

  • Leverage your experience with database technologies such as Oracle and SQL Server to manage, query, and analyze large datasets.
  • Work with middleware technologies to integrate data from various sources into Tableau for comprehensive reporting.

Advanced Business Process Knowledge:

  • Utilize advanced knowledge of business processes and tools, with a particular focus on PowerBI and Tableau, to support the risk and controls environment.
  • Provide insights into system and tool optimization to enhance the overall effectiveness of risk management processes.

Critical Analysis and Problem Solving:

  • Analyze complex business problems using critical thinking and conceptual and interpretive skills.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement, assess needs, and conduct both qualitative and quantitative analyses.
  • Synthesize insights and present actionable recommendations to stakeholders.

Effective Communication of Risk:

  • Communicate business risk status clearly and concisely to relevant stakeholders.
  • Prioritize risk remediation efforts based on the significance of the risks identified and ensure appropriate follow-up.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Tableau Expertise: Strong experience in creating, optimizing, and modeling Tableau reports.
  • Risk Management Knowledge: Familiarity with risk management frameworks, industry standards, and financial industry regulatory requirements.
  • Database and Middleware Proficiency: Experience with Oracle, SQL Server, and middleware technologies.
  • Business Process Acumen: Advanced knowledge of business processes, systems, and tools used in the risk and controls environment, with a focus on PowerBI and Tableau.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze, think critically, and solve complex problems through conceptual and interpretive analysis.
  • Opportunity Identification: Ability to identify opportunities, conduct qualitative and quantitative analyses, synthesize insights, and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Effective Communication: Proficiency in communicating business risk status to stakeholders and prioritizing remediation efforts.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in financial services or a related industry.
  • Advanced degree in a related field (e.g., Finance, Data Science, Business Administration).
  • Certifications in Tableau, PowerBI, or related technologies.
