Roles & Responsibilities
- Looking for highly motivated nurses to help with this PCU Heart Failure Unit.
- You will care for a variety of heart transplant and VAD patients.
- Staffing Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification Successful completion of a proctored rhythm test
- Unit Capacity: 36 Beds
- Population Served: Cardiac and Neuro Stepdown Cardiac bedside monitoring, Cardiac drips, TR bands, Post heart caths, Stroke/Neuro patients, BIPAP overflows
- Ages of Patients Served :Young Adult through Late Adult (18 - 60+)
- Nurse to Patient Ratios 1:6
- Core Staffing Plan: Variable staffing grid to include:Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Patient Care Technicians (PCTs), Nurse Interns (NIs).
- An RN assumes full responsibility for the patients
- Required a minimum of 1 year of Experience
- BLS and ACLS
- National Institutes of Health (NIH)
- Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) Certification
- Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
- The ability to stand for extended periods.
- Strong technical skills.
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Passionate about patient care
- Requires a minimum of two years of current RN Caridac Telemetry experience.
- Graduate from a fully accredited RN program
- Active unencumbered RN Tennessee state license
- One year of Epic experience
- COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster.
- Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
- Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
- Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
- Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
- A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
- Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
