Custodian (part-time)

Position: Custodian Duties: To clean and maintain the assigned building; and to perform other custodial and maintenance duties relative to assigned area of responsibility. Sweep, mop, buff and wax floors; shake out mats; vacuum carpets. Remove trash from building grounds and empty trash cans. Perform fitness equipment maintenance and minor maintenance duties on various building systems. Dust furniture; polish glassware and windows. Clean restrooms and water fountains. Perform routine inspections on all lights and electrical outlets to maintain working order; check buildings for leaks. Perform minor repairs in the building; may paint assigned areas. Clean and maintain outside grounds area; remove snow during winter months. Set up and take down equipment; adhere to set-up instructions provided by assigned staff. Perform a variety of recording functions; maintain logs on all work performed and equipment used; prepare a monthly report. Requirements: Use and operate custodial equipment, including a buffer, vacuum cleaner, chair and table dollies, and a variety of electric and power hand tools. Other Requirements: Must be at least 18 years of age. Work independently in the absence of supervision. Wage: $19.70 Hourly Shifts: Part time, Evening Shift: Friday through Sunday 9:15pm-11:30pm Morning Tuesday through Friday 6:00am-8:45am.
