POSITION SUMMARY:

Actively participates in all aspects of the research and development process from concept to field deployment. FPGA Design Engineers are responsible for the efficient implementation of novel signal processing algorithms for Our Clients MIMO wireless networking products. In addition, they also participate in the support and development of FPGA-based designs for our advanced wireless systems R&D. These are exciting projects targeted to address challenging real world communication needs. This position is on a hybrid schedule, with a minimum of 3 days on-site per week is expected. On-site days are: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

Duties and Responsibilities

o Digital design architecting for wireless communication projects.

o Fixed point design of signal processing blocks while working with systems engineers.

o RTL coding, simulation, and test bench development.

o FPGA synthesis and timing closure.

o Hardware verification and troubleshooting; familiarity with logic analyzers.

o Provide support to the RF and Software Engineering Teams.

o As necessary, performs other related duties of which the above are representative

Qualifications

o Minimum Education:

o MSEE

o Minimum Experience:

o 4+ years of FPGA design experience.

o Experience with fixed point binary arithmetic, and digital signal processing designs.

o Experience with multiple clock-domain, high-utilization FPGA designs.

o Experience with Xilinx FPGAs, SoCs, and the Vivado IDE.

o Basic MATLAB skill is a plus.

o Experience with communication systems on FPGA or ASIC designs a plus.

o Must be a U.S. person

o U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident due to clients under U.S. government contracts.

o Must be able to successfully clear a background check.

Working Conditions

o Indoor air-conditioned facility

Physical Requirements:

o While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to do the following:

o Lift equipment for setup of demos and testing.

o Walking/Moving in the labs.

NOTE - Must be a U.S. Person (permanent resident or citizen) due to U.S. government contracts. Employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check.
