We specialize in connecting healthcare facilities with top-tier travel nurses and allied healthcare professionals. As we grow, we are looking for a highly driven, persistent, and coachable Business Development Manager to build and maintain a strong client base through high-volume outbound calls and relationship-building.
Compensation
- Base Salary: $50,000 per year + uncapped commission
- Comprehensive Benefits: Health, dental, and vision insurance (50% company-paid)

Position Overview
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for proactively reaching out to healthcare facilities daily to secure new contracts, develop long-term client relationships, and expand NurseStar's footprint in the healthcare staffing industry. This role requires a heavy call volume, strong persistence, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, phone-driven environment. A positive attitude and openness to coaching are essential for success.
Key Responsibilities
- High-Volume Outbound Calling:
- Make daily outbound calls to potential healthcare facility clients.
- Consistently follow up with leads and maintain ongoing communication.
- Client Acquisition & Expansion:
- Identify and engage with hospitals, clinics, and long-term care centers to understand their staffing needs.
- Strategically grow new business opportunities while nurturing existing relationships.
- Persistence & Relationship Management:
- Comfortably handle objections and stay persistent in client outreach.
- Develop trust-based relationships with decision-makers.
- Contract Negotiation & Closing:
- Present NurseStar's staffing solutions effectively.
- Negotiate contracts confidently to secure new business.
- Market Awareness & Strategy:
- Stay informed on industry trends and competitor strategies.
- Adapt sales approaches based on market demands.
- Performance & Accountability:
- Meet and exceed weekly and monthly sales goals.
- Maintain accurate records of calls, client interactions, and contract details.

- Positive attitude with a results-driven mindset
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Previous experience in sales, business development, or healthcare staffing is a plus
