ABOUT THE ROLE:

Parker Poe is seeking a attorney with 5 to 7 years of experience to join our Business Litigation practice in Charlotte, North Carolina. The ideal candidate will have substantiate experience in internal investigations, white collar criminal defense and/or a variety of commercial disputes, including those involving breaches of contract, fraud, trade secret misappropriate, and unfair and deceptive trade practices. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a close-knit team that has a national practice and appears before state and federal courts throughout the firm's southeastern footprint. The Business Litigation team also has a robust data privacy and security practice. The applicant must possess exceptional communication skills, research and writing skills, and must be ready and willing to handle matters both independently and as part of a litigation team.

ABOUT THE PRACTICE:

Parker Poe's Business Litigation team has extensive experience representing clients before state and federal courts, governmental agencies, and national and international arbitration panels in the Southeast and around the world. Our trial attorneys have decades of first-chair experience and a proven track record of resolving disputes across a broad array of industries, including energy, financial services, health care, insurance, life sciences, manufacturing, real estate, and technology.

Our team has successfully handled appeals in all levels of federal and state court systems. We draw on the extensive trial experience our attorneys have gained, as well as the lessons they have learned as law clerks with federal circuit courts and state appellate courts. We handle appeals involving not only cases we have tried but also cases referred to us from other lawyers who seek our level of proficiency.

Our attorneys also are skilled in resolving disputes outside the courtroom. We regularly appear before arbitration panels of the American Arbitration Association (AAA), Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), JAMS, International Chamber of Commerce, and the International Institute for Conflict Prevention and Resolution (CPR). In addition, our attorneys have participated in hundreds of mediations on behalf of clients and are able to draw on the insights of our team members who are themselves trained and experienced mediators.
