Position Summary:

The FP&A Analyst will support the Senior Director of Financial Planning and Analysis through maintaining, analyzing and reporting financial and sales forecasts, to help enhance the overall forecasting and reporting functions of the Company. This position will have significant interaction with our sales team, finance and accounting team members, and operations planning personnel.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide analytical, forecasting, reporting, and project support to the Senior Director of Financial Planning and Analysis and sales teams.
  • Prepare regular reporting of sales pacing against sales forecasts and variance reporting.
  • Identify opportunities for sales forecast improvements.
  • Maintain knowledge and keep abreast of sales trends and reasons for sales forecasting changes.
  • Summarizing forecast adjustments supplied by sales team from sales forecasting modules and reasons for adjustments for Supply Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP initiatives).
  • Analyze sales forecasting statistical models and make recommendations for optimal models available for statistical baseline forecasts.
  • Compiling and analyzing data over time and comparing to forecast trends.
  • Communicate with management and sales teams regularly.
  • Prepare accurate reports using data from internal and external sources.
  • Evaluate third-party point of sale data to determine best practices for company successful use of data.
  • Present actionable information and insights to team members and management.
  • Gather and analyze data in order to understand problems and address them proactively.
  • Collaborate with team members and members of other departments.
  • Assist with annual budgeting and planning process in collaboration with company leadership.
  • Assist with monthly forecasting for balance sheet and income statement models.
  • Assist with monthly financial reporting presentations.
  • Assist with reviewing month end close results.
  • Assist with preparing customer and product line P&Ls.
  • Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing respective results.
Position Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5-7+ years of experience in financial analysis, sales forecasting and/or budgeting
  • Experience reporting to Director of Financial Planning and Analysis
  • Experience with analysis and forecasting of basic financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow)
  • Advanced spreadsheet and PowerPoint skills
  • Advanced problem-solving and analysis skills
  • Superior oral and written communication skills
  • High level of organization and detail-orientation
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to take initiative
