Our client, a highly respected and innovative law firm, is seeking an experienced Labor & Employment Attorney to join their team. The firm is known for its forward-thinking approach and dedication to providing exceptional legal services. They are looking for a talented attorney who is passionate about labor and employment law and is ready to take on challenging and impactful cases.
Position Overview:
As a Labor & Employment Attorney, you will be responsible for representing clients in a variety of labor and employment matters, including but not limited to, workplace discrimination, wage and hour disputes, employee benefits, and compliance with labor laws. This role requires a deep understanding of federal and state employment regulations and the ability to provide strategic advice to clients on complex employment issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in labor and employment disputes, including litigation, arbitration, and mediation.
- Provide counsel on a broad range of labor and employment issues, including discrimination, harassment, wage and hour compliance, employee benefits, and labor relations.
- Draft and review employment contracts, severance agreements, non-compete agreements, and other employment-related documents.
- Conduct legal research and stay current with labor and employment laws and regulations.
- Advise clients on best practices for maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Handle administrative proceedings before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), Department of Labor (DOL), and other regulatory agencies.
- Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff to provide comprehensive legal services to clients.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing timely and effective communication and legal advice.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in the Bar of the relevant state(s).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in labor and employment law.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations.
- Excellent litigation and negotiation skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously.
