POSITION SUMMARY

As the HR/Payroll Manager at 10X Health, you will be responsible for overseeing the onboarding of new team members and ensuring accurate payroll processing. You will lead cultural initiatives through the 10X Health Culture Club and support HR policy development, ensuring compliance and accountability across teams. You will collaborate with the VP of People & Culture on strategic planning for hiring, benefits, career development, and succession planning. Additionally, you will assist the leadership team with performance management, documentation, and employee engagement. Your role will also include developing onboarding plans that align with departmental goals and supporting team members' growth and career advancement.


OBJECTIVES

  • Manage HR policies, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Oversee employee onboarding and offboarding processes, including document preparation and benefits setup.
  • Administer benefits programs (health, dental, vision, retirement plans, etc.), including open enrollment and claims resolution.
  • Support talent management initiatives, including performance reviews, training, and employee development programs.
  • Manage payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely submission of employee information, deductions, overtime, bonuses, and payments
  • Maintain payroll systems and ensure compliance with applicable labor laws and tax regulations.
  • Prepare payroll reports, reconcile discrepancies, and manage year-end reporting, such as W-2s and 1099s.
  • Maintain payroll records and reports, addressing any discrepancies or employee inquiries related to compensation
  • Lead the 10X Health Culture Club and manage the execution of cultural initiatives
  • Assist the VP of People & Culture in strategic planning to align hiring, benefits, career development, succession planning, and employee policies with business objectives
  • Support the leadership team members on proper documentation, performance management, and engagement for their team
  • Provide guidance on compliance and other HR-related matters
  • Develop, evaluate, and update onboarding plans that align with department business objectives and motivate the team to achieve their targets
  • Support the creation of Employee Maturity Models by department to allow team members to understand next steps in their career path


COMPETENCIES

  • Deep understanding of employment law and regulations to develop company policies
  • Strong competence in payroll management, ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee compensation, benefits, and deductions
  • Basic knowledge of benefits
  • Knowledge of how to develop succession planning frameworks for departments, outlining specific behavioral competencies for growth and advancement
  • Ability to have sensitive HR conversations with team members and maintain professionalism
  • Ability to maintain poise and approachability, fostering trust and openness while supporting the disciplinary process as needed


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • 5 years’ relevant work experience in Human Resources and Payroll or related field
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or equivalent experience
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
