Senior Construction Superintendent

Selected candidate will be hired by Jacobs or one of the subconsultant team partners. We’re looking for an experienced and collaborative Senior Construction Superintendent based out of our client’s field office in Brentwood, New York, who thrives when people are in sync and construction projects are running like they should. As a key member of our team, you’ll be providing direction to the team regarding quality, safety, and general day-to-day operations. You’ll take the lead on daily scheduling and planning activities of contractors and subcontractors involved at the project site. You’ll ensure that the right materials, equipment, and people are there to get the job done. Your ability to coordinate onsite work schedules with the client’s staff and manage multiple projects at a time will be critical to your success. Most importantly, you’ll take action to ensure the safety, health and well-being of your team. Your role keeps our company connected and we’ll support you with what you need to be successful. • Minimum 10 years of experience in construction involving multiple phases of larger scale building/rehabilitation projects • Minimum of 5 years’ experience shall be as an Assistant Superintendent or Inspector on large-scale, multi contract building projects • Ability to develop and communicate a project work plan, monitor manpower and performance against the work plan, and perform a details comparison of the design drawings against each other to ensure coordination between each of the various project trades • Demonstrated working knowledge of pre-design and pre-construction, building systems/components and technology, contract management, project delivery methods, team building and client relationship building required • OSHA 30 Certified or have the ability to obtain within 30 days of start date Ideally, you’ll also have: • Bachelor's degree in Construction, Architecture, or Engineering preferred No sponsorship is available for this position #EastPMCM #NorthPMCM Jacobs is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
