About the Role:

As a backend engineer, you will be designing and developing applications & infrastructure for machine learning use-cases. You will be deploying and maintaining scalable serving infrastructure for models that address cybersecurity issues faced by diverse businesses today. To excel in this role, you must be excited about designing the backend to power machine learning and build the infrastructure for model training, deployment and serving. Your work will have a direct impact on our customers using the ML models for security.   

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop scalable infrastructure to support the training, evaluation, and deployment of machine learning models 

  • Collaborate with data scientists and ML engineers to integrate backend systems with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn 

  • Design and implement APIs for serving ML models, ensuring efficient response times and scalability 

  • Manage databases that store model parameters, metadata, training data, and logs.  

  • Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions to track model performance, system health, and resource utilization in real-time 

Experience:

  • Bachelor's in computer science or equivalent degree. Master's degree a plus

  • 3+ years of relevant experience

  • Proficiency in GoLang or Python for backend development 

  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure  

  • Experience in designing and developing scalable API solutions  

  • Knowledge in tools and platforms for service monitoring, alerting, and maintenance  

  • Experience with integrating vector databases and past experience in supporting ML-specific cloud services (within AWS or Azure ecosystem) is a plus

Pay Range:

$178,000 USD - $205,000 USD

The pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, or applicable laws.
