Position: Manager, Automation EngineeringJob Location: 221 River Street, Hoboken, NJ 07030Duties: Design and develop simulations for Walmart’s Supply Chain Network. Create and implement state-of-the-art simulations to model and analyze various aspects of the supply chain network, including warehouse operations, transportation logistics, and inventory management. Use machine learning to improve the accuracy of outputs from models. Utilize simulation results to identify areas for improvement and develop optimization strategies for enhancing supply chain efficiency, reducing costs, and optimizing resource allocation. Write, test, and maintain code to build accurate and efficient simulations of real-world processes within warehouses and the supply chain network. Ensure simulations are realistic and reflect the complexities of the supply chain environment. Analyze data and performance metrics to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process optimizations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and understand business needs. Based on simulation findings and optimization strategies, propose practical and data-driven business solutions to enhance overall supply chain performance. Present recommendations and findings to stakeholders and senior management. Collaborate with the final production organization to align simulation results with real-world implementations. Ensure the seamless integration of optimization strategies into operational processes and provide ongoing support and guidance. This position does not supervise employees.Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any) or related field; OR Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any) or related field and 2 years of experience in engineering, supply chain, or related area.Skills required: Experience designing and building efficient code architecture using Python. Experience using statistical modeling and machine learning to identify patterns and trends. Experience maintaining and resolving version control of code using GitHub. Experience with Project Management and breaking projects into Sprints and tracking project tasks using the Agile methodology. Experience with predictive modeling using machine learning models to classify text documents and images. Experience creating and presenting technical presentations. Experience creating database management systems using SQL for data collection and data management purposes. Experience processing, structuring, and creating inferences from raw data sources using data analytics. Employer will accept any amount of graduate coursework, graduate research experience or professional experience with the required skills.
