Description

We are seeking a highly skilled professional with mastery of Microsoft Excel and Office applications, capable of manipulating data to streamline workflows and enhance productivity. The ideal candidate will have experience with Orion and other data aggregation tools to enable insightful analysis and informed decision-making.

The primary responsibility is to work with the Operations Team to perform ongoing database maintenance and operational tasks. This person must display a strong understanding of data manipulation and be comfortable learning software systems.

A commitment to precision, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail are essential for ensuring high-quality outcomes. This role requires someone who can work independently on projects while effectively collaborating with the team to achieve shared objectives. Location:
  • This is a full-time position that can be based in our Birmingham or St. Louis office, with a hybrid 3 days in-office and 2 days remote work schedule. This position can also be remote for the right candidate. If remote, occasional travel to home office in Birmingham, AL will be required.
Key Responsibilities:

Daily Data Verification:
  • Verify accuracy for new account setups, including custodian data feeds, advisor assignments, and householding in Orion.
  • Ensure database integrity by addressing issues like missing prices, duplicate alternatives, changing rep codes, and client demographic updates.
Database Maintenance and Accuracy:
  • Input and output data to maintain compliance, portfolio review, and performance reporting accuracy in Orion.
  • Develop and optimize processes for maintaining new platforms, including DPL, SMartX, and Pontera.
Reporting and Analysis:
  • Produce monthly reports and analyses on firm-wide assets.
  • Generate quarterly asset reports for specific advisors.
Audit and Compliance Support:
  • Perform monthly audits to support end-of-month and quarter billing processes.
Operations Management:
  • Manage the Operations team's email inbox, addressing general inquiries.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Operations with supporting daily tasks and ongoing projects.
Cross-Departmental Collaboration:
  • Support other departments as needed with data-related tasks and projects.

Requirements

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business or finance.
  • Prior experience working as a data analyst.
  • Very strong technical skills in Excel, and other application in Microsoft Office.
  • Must have knowledge of and experience with Orion.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in financial services required.
