Inspects all on hand produce to assure Quality meets the highest standard. Verifies all dated product to assure shipping date meets customer expectations Job Responsibilities & Accountabilities * Inspects all incoming shipments of Produce against good delivery guidelines, reporting results to Procurement. * Accepts or rejects Produce based on condition, short weight, transit damage, grade, temperature and other reasons. May reject product without further consultation if product doesn't meet Company's requirements/standards. * Conducts daily cooler walks to verify Produce quality, reporting results to QA Supervisor * Conducts daily cooler walks to verify all dated Fresh inventory has sufficient dating for shipment based on established minimum dating. Report results to QA Supervisor Job Requirements * Able to learn the standards for USDA Good Delivery guidelines for Produce. * Good interpersonal and customer service skills * Good initiative and problem solving skills. * High level of accountability Physical Environment * Some work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment. * Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at desk or computer terminal. * Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephone, and other office equipment in the course of normal workday. * Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in completion of job duties.
