This truck driving position earns a competitive wage of $25-$35/hour base, depending on experience, + scale wages on most jobs. This position is seasonal, so you will be earning that salary between mid-March and November. We provide excellent benefits, including dental, vision, a health savings account (HSA), periodic and annual bonuses, sick time, and vacation time. We pay 100% of the premium for medical insurance after 60 days of employment, and we offer a 401(k) with a 5% company match after one year of employment. Our family-owned business got its start way back in 1933 when Daniel Krieg himself began selling 55-gallon drums of asphalt. Since then, D.B. Krieg, Inc has grown tremendously and now stands as an industry-leading pavement maintenance company. Now, we offer a range of commercial construction services including asphalt sealcoating and crack filling. Our facilities also sell a variety of traffic safety supplies and personal protection equipment to individuals, small contractors, and government entities. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A TACK TRUCK DRIVER

As a Tack Truck Driver, you are responsible for ensuring that our products get to the job site in a timely manner. Once at the job site you apply liquid asphalt products, including a tack coat and prime coat by using an asphalt distributor truck. You work under the supervision of a state inspector to ensure that all guidelines are properly being followed. In addition, you help to make sure that our services are meeting the expectations of our customers. You enjoy having a job that allows you to serve in such an important role with our company, which is why you excel in this truck driving position


QUALIFICATIONS FOR A TACK TRUCK DRIVER

  • Class B CDL driver's license and a clean driving record
  • 1 year of experience driving a manual shift truck
  • Physically fit to perform the tasks of the job
  • Willingness to work day shift or night shift
  • Basic math skills

WORK SCHEDULE

This full-time truck driving position typically works 50 to 60 hours per week with overtime as needed from mid-March to November. This position is laid off each winter.
