About Hospice of Laurens County:

Hospice of Laurens County was the first hospice to open in Laurens County and has continued to be a leader in hospice care in the community for almost 30 years. A not-for-profit organization, Hospice of Laurens County not only cares for the patient but also their family and loved ones.

Position Summary:

Responsible for providing nursing services and education within the scope of practice as set forth by the South Carolina Board of Nursing to individuals and their families in a inpatient facility; Coordinates plan of care by working with interdisciplinary team to anticipate and meet patient needs; Serves as the RN member of interdisciplinary team to meet specific plan of care goals; Coordinates closely with related disciplines to ensure professional service delivery; May be asked to provide oversight to NAs, LPNs, volunteers, etc.

Qualifications
  • A Diploma or Associates Degree in nursing is required; Bachelors Degree preferred.
  • A current, active, and unrestricted compact (multistate) license as a Registered Nurse (RN) is required.
  • Current CPR required; CHPN preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year related experience.
    • Related experience may include hospice and palliative care; family medicine; internal medicine; geriatrics, oncology; home health care; medical surgical.
  • Experience in direct care of patients with life limiting illnesses required.
  • Computer proficiency is required.
