Die Cutter Operator

Position: Sheetfed Die Cutter Operator
Shift: 1st shift hours: 7:00 am - 3:00 pm - *overtime if required would start in the morning at 5:00 am
Wage: $22.93

Reporting directly to the Shift Manager, as a Sheetfed Die Cutter Operator, you will be responsible for the safe operation of production equipment using standard operating procedures. Set up, operate, and maintain die cutters. Strive to meet plant goals and customer requirements. Safety is the top priority of every employee.

What you will be doing:

• Must follow all plant safety procedures and participate in the Plant Safety Program.
• Perform detailed quality inspections before and during machine operation.
• Set up, operate, and maintain good working condition of die cutters.
• Fill out both paperwork and Plant Floor Data Collection accurately.
• Order stock and manage incoming skid stock loads.
• Re-pile/Aerate stock as needed.
• Return dies to Die Room. Assist in Die Room as needed.
• Work with maintenance to oil and grease machines as part of a scheduled PM program.
• Clean work area and machine according to established housekeeping guidelines.
• Perform various tasks, as needed, throughout the plant as part of the RTS/Sonoco team.

• Able to work on your feet and stand for long periods of time. Walking, standing, bending, or crouching on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces is required.
• Able to do simple math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division and read and write to fully comprehend all forms and paperwork associated with this job.
• Can use upper extremities to press against something with steady force to thrust forward, downward, or outward and to exert force to draw, drag, haul, or tug objects in a sustained motion and can raise objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position. Lifting up to 50 lbs. required
