Outpatient Practice Monday – Friday Three full time Gastroenterologist and Physician Assistant Hospital consult service On call responsibility (1 evening / week + 1 weekend/ month) Clinical Responsibilities Performs a physical examination using techniques of observation, inspection, auscultation, percussion, and palpation. In accordance with applicable scope of licensure and established standards diagnose and treat patients for a variety of GI conditions including abdominal pain, dyspepsia, nausea, dysphagia, constipation, diarrhea, GI bleeding, elevated liver enzymes and other GI complaints. Conducting inpatient consultations, emergency room consultations and patient appointments and consultations in an office setting attending to scheduled, and where required, unscheduled outpatients. Consults with physician, as appropriate, based on information obtained from patient's history, physical exam, lab and testing results. Communicates with patient all results of testing and lab as per Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic Policy. Manage and facilitate procedure schedule with the Endoscopy Service.
