Reporting Relations: Accountable and Reports to: Director, Supply Chain Technology Positions that Report to you: None Key Responsibilities: Designs, creates, modifies, and tests solutions to enable optimal operation of Supply Chain Applications. Technologies involved include but are not limited to webMethods, SQL, node.js, Jest, Google Pub/Sub, and high-level programming languages such as C and Java. Troubleshoots applications and platforms to correct defects and resolve issues. Organizes and documents technical requirements; creates technical design specifications. Tests and validates software upgrades/enhancements and coordinates implementation. Analyzes workflow and procedures and recommends technology solutions to drive efficiency. Champions company standards and best practices. Work to continuously improve software delivery processes and practices. Reports to work when scheduled and on time. Works the required number of hours. Secondary Duties and Responsibilities: Attends and participates in industry and company meetings, including meetings for Analysts/Programmers, Task Review, Team, Departmental, and Manager. Participates in off-hours on-call rotation. Performs other job-related duties and special projects as required. Education and Experience: Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Supply Chain, related field or equivalent work experience required. Supervisory Responsibilities: Instructing, assigning work, reviewing work, planning the work of others, maintaining standards, and coordinating activities. Physical Requirements: Visual requirements include: ability to see detail at near range with or without correction. Must be physically able to perform sedentary work: occasionally lifting or carrying objects of no more than 10 pounds, and occasionally standing or walking. Must be able to perform the following physical activities: stooping, kneeling, reaching, handling, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing and repetitive motions. Must be able to work in warehouse conditions, including refrigerated and frozen areas. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Worker Characteristics: Commitment to the Hy-Vee Mission and a willingness to promote the values of the company Strong interpersonal skills; ability to relate to and interact with people in a friendly, professional manner Must have the ability to do logical or scientific thinking to solve problems; several abstract and concrete variables. Must have the ability to do arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages. Must possess the ability to compose original correspondence, follow technical manuals, evaluate technical data, and counsel or advise people Working Conditions: The duties of this position are performed in a general office setting. There is weekly pressure to meet deadlines. Equipment Used to Perform Job: Mainframe and/or Windows computer software and application development tools. PC, telephone and calculator.
