Description:
Have you mastered the balance between creativity and technology? Do you want to be part of a company changing how software is developed and used? The IT Systems Engineer is responsible for line of business support on complex Enterprise Application implementations. The Systems Engineer will be the primary technical and process expert in their service area and collaborate with developers, business stakeholders, and other technology teams impacting their end-to-end business process area of expertise. Daily activities will include but are not limited to, resolving technical and functional support issues, performing trend analysis and identifying enhancements to reduce recurring requests, and collaborating with development teams to improve the design of new functionality. The successful candidate must be agile and able to handle multiple priorities.

You should write code that others can understand, support, maintain, and expand, and provide other team members with direction on development projects. You are aware of trends and technical developments in the industry and how those can be applied in your work and have a point of view on the delivery approach for very complex or foundational features. You have the demonstrated ability to anticipate technology lifecycle issues, work with projects involving multiple systems, and influence the team to deliver durable, extensible solutions.

We're looking for people with that unique mix of technical ability, curiosity, and an analytical mind to help us ensure every line of code we push to production as part of the Business Technology applications is of the highest quality. As LMTS, you would be part of the engineering team, working closely with other technical staff members, architects, business systems analysts, and product owners responsible for adding new features or improving the current applications.

This job requires that you be a quick learner and self-starter who can work under pressure, meet aggressive deadlines, and handle multiple projects/tasks simultaneously. You should be able to operate in a fun, creative, and fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for adapting quickly, motivating people, instilling accountability, and achieving results. You must possess good oral and written communication/documentation skills and be able to interact with other team members to deliver fast and with reliable code quality. You will also be asked to contribute ideas and provide feedback on many projects within the team's portfolio.

Basic Requirements/Experience:

  • B.S. in Computer Science/Engineering, Information technology, or other relevant technology fields
  • 10 + years of experience programming with Force.com (Apex, Visualforce & Lightning) and Java technologies
  • 10 + years experience understanding of OO design and programming and the MVC framework
  • 10+ years of experience programming HTML, CSS, and Javascript frameworks ( Angular.js, Ember.js or React)
  • 10+ years of experience in data models, database design, and relational database languages (SQL or SOQL)
  • Experience developing in an enterprise software engineering environment such as source code control, IDE, CI/CD frameworks (Git, Eclipse, Jenkins)
  • Provide technical leadership to junior software engineers and the ability to mentor and develop junior team members
  • Ability to help out in recruiting and attracting best-in-class software engineers
  • Knowledge and hands-on implementation skills of Web Services (SOAP and REST)
  • Working experience in driving quality practices within the organization
  • Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodology
  • Proactively identify risks & mitigate/resolve them. Also, effectively communicate status and risk to the team and manager
  • 8+ years of experience in a testing-based environment, SAAS preferred - plan, design, implement, and enhance automation framework, utilities, and tools
  • 8+ years of experience in Quality Engineering developing test frameworks using an OOP language, such as Apex, Java, C#, etc.
  • 8+ years experience in designing and implementing automated test suites that are fast, robust, and maintainable using Java-based tools such as Selenium Web Driver, JUnit, and Apex
  • Document test plans and publish test results with the goal of continuous improvement in code quality, test coverage (functionality and code)
  • Ability to lead and influence the design approach to new applications and features
  • Ability to lead, participate, and contribute to product code reviews, test strategy & test plan reviews
  • Diagnose, track, and manage quality issues to resolution
  • Understanding of various user-based security models and experience with performance tuning
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Effectively communicate status and risk to the team and manager
  • Effectively contribute, participate, and influence in Program Increment (PI) Planning and Agile scrum rituals

Preferred Requirements/Experience:

  • Master's degree - ideally in Computer Science, Engineering or MIS
  • Data Cloud and Artificial Intelligence (AI) certifications, Slack, skills and experience
  • 12+ years of experience developing with Force.com ( Lightning, Visualforce & Apex Code) and Java
  • Experience developing on the Salesforce.com platform & APIs
  • Enterprise system integration background w/ Web Services
  • Strong experience with Selenium automation
  • Strong experience with Javascript frameworks such as Jquery, Angular, and/or ExtJS
  • Lead technology roadmap development and product and feature design with technical staff members, business systems analysts, and product managers & influence the outcomes.
  • Multiple Salesforce Certifications and Java
  • Understanding of various user-based security models
  • Previous experience developing applications for post-sales and or Salesforce Service Cloud is a strong plus
  • Excellent cross-group communication and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent ability to build cross-group relationships with key influencers and decision-makers
