Education & Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED preferred. Must be able to complete cleaning procedures and complete a daily paper checklist. Previous industrial cleaning and sanitation experience is preferred. Working knowledge of cleaning chemicals & CIP preferred. Must use PPE and adhere to safety guidelines when working with chemicals. Must be willing to work 2nd Shift; Hours -Approximately 3pm to 11pm. Monday-Friday with an occasional Saturday. Ability to operate a fork truck is preferred.

Summary: Perform a variety of sanitation procedures. Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing the facility and production equipment to meet customer, federal, and state requirements. Responsible for various general duties that support production and staff. Establish and maintain working relationship with other team members, and provide guidance to any trainees. Show initiative in job by performing not only assigned tasks at defined intervals, but also by seeking out additional work when the assigned tasks are completed. Complete assigned paperwork to indicate job duties completed on a daily basis.

Essential Functions:

  • Perform all functions of sanitation in assigned areas of the plant.
  • Includes, but is not limited to: cleaning equipment, floors, and drains, and disassembling & reassembling equipment as necessary to effectively clean and sanitize the area.
  • Complete KLEANZ Program worksheets on a daily basis to document tasks completed.
  • Maintain and clean all equipment in the plant, including CIP (Clean In Place) of tomato blending equipment, cook tanks, and filling equipment.
  • Follow sanitation instructions and use chemicals in the proper manner.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and management.
  • Communicate any problems or concerns to manager.
  • Maintain open communication with co-workers and manager to ensure that all work is done in a timely manner.
  • Communicate with manager if additional time or labor is needed to complete a task.
  • Communicate any schedule changes, conflicts or issues to manager.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team with minimal supervision on an off-shift.
  • Collaborate to complete tasks on time.
  • Attends Safety Training.
  • Uses PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) when using chemicals or as required per Company and Department policy and procedure.
  • Completes other sanitation duties as assigned by the manager.
Other Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and protect employee, customer, and consumer confidentiality.
  • Report to and from work at assigned time.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
  • Must be honest and reliable.
  • Must be able to work in a team atmosphere. Provide help and support to co-workers on an ongoing basis.
  • Adhere to dress code policy.
