Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an 8-week Med/Surg Orthopedics position in Colorado requiring a current compact or CO RN license and recent Ortho experience.

Responsibilities

- Position is in an acute Orthopedics unit within a hospital setting
- 12-hour day shifts, 3 days per week, for an 8-week contract
- Patient population consists of orthopedic and post-surgical patients
- Use of Epic EMR is required
- May require floating to other departments as needed
- May be placed on-call during scheduled shifts
- Perform independent and delegated medical functions in line with nursing standards
- Provide comprehensive care to orthopedic patients including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Engage in patient health teaching, counseling, and therapy planning
- Document care in compliance with hospital and regulatory requirements
- Returning employees must have a break in service of at least one year from any Intermountain facility to be eligible

Requirements

- Active CO or compact RN license is required and must be in hand
- Minimum of 1 year recent experience in Med/Surg Orthopedics is required
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with ASN required; BSN preferred
- Current AHA BLS certification is required and must not expire before start date
- Experience with Epic charting is required
- No pending licenses at time of consideration
