Estimator - Construction
Northampton, Massachusetts

We are currently looking for an experienced Estimator to join a general contractor just north of Springfield, MA. This contractor has been in business for over 100 years and they perform commercial construction builds to include; industrial, mixed use, education, medical/labs, etc. They are a family oriented company that understands how to take care of their employees. This is a direct hire position with full benefits. 

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate project plans and specifications to determine requirements and scope
  • Collaborate with peers and project team to acquire necessary information
  • Conduct site visits to assess conditions and demands of projects
  • Research and evaluate bids and proposals
  • Analyze and negotiate contracts with subcontractors
  • Prepare detailed take offs and quantity surveys
  • Create comprehensive bid packages and present to clients
Qualifications
  • 5+ Years of proven experience in Construction Estimating
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
  • Proficient in using construction estimating software (ProEst preferred)
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
