The Kitchen Assistant (KNA) at Claiborne Senior Living, LLC is responsible for providing assistance and support to the kitchen staff in preparing and serving meals to our senior residents. This individual will work in a fast-paced environment and must possess excellent communication and teamwork skills. The KNA will report directly to the Kitchen Manager and will work full-time hours in our healthcare facility located in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with meal preparation, including cutting and chopping ingredients, measuring portions, and assembling dishes
- Set up dining areas and assist with serving meals to residents
- Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment according to health and safety regulations
- Ensure the kitchen and dining areas are kept clean and organized at all times
- Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed
- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures
- Communicate with Kitchen Manager and other team members to ensure smooth operations within the kitchen
- Provide excellent customer service to all residents and their families

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience working in a kitchen or food service environment preferred
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well as a team member
- Basic understanding of food preparation and cooking techniques
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
