Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Respond to telephone or written correspondence inquiries from customers within established timeframes utilizing current reference materials and available resources.
  • Ensure our customers' accounts are in good order and communicate any delays as needed.
  • Provide rate quotes.
  • Track shipments.
  • Manage inventory.
  • Research and problem solve any issues that arise.
  • Administrative work such as scanning, indexing, and filing.
  • Maintain detailed documentation about customers.
  • Assist with logistics and freight.
  • Cross-train with manufacturing department and help when needed.
Experience, Abilities and Qualities Required:
  • Superior communication (verbal and written), decision making and teaming skills, and willing to do whatever is needed to provide the best possible experience for both internal and external customers.
  • Highly motivated, ability to coordinate tasks across multiple groups/sites.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Time management and ability to work independently.
  • Beginner-Intermediate typing skills including 10 key by touch.
  • Be adaptable and comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Telephone sales experience is ideal but not required.
Job Conditions/Physical Requirements:
  • Sitting 90-95% and standing 5-10%.
  • Working at a computer 98% of the day, utilizing the phone 30%.
Education/Experience Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in Order Management or related experience in customer service (2+ years preferred).
Compensation: $20.00 per hour
