Job Title: Parts Specialist

Job Description

They will support the engineering and service team. They will take calls/emails from customers, pull up blueprints and BOM, and order parts for either customers or service technicians.
Day to day responsibilities:
- Read engineering drawings and procedure manuals
- Read technical blueprints and order parts based off them
- Quote prices and credit terms and prepare sale contracts for orders
- Conduct research and share information with service, manufacturing, and purchasing to identify old or unknown parts to provide a viable solution to the customers' needs
- Estimate date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of own firm's production and delivery schedules; investigate and resolve customer problems with deliveries
- Enter new customer data and other sales data for current customers into the computer database
- Track & process back orders, notifying appropriate parties
- Respond to requests for information from internal departments, such as engineering, purchasing, and manufacturing
- Adjust complaints concerning billing or services rendered, referring complaints of service failures to designated departments for investigation
- Communicate with customers and work within engineering
Hard Skills
  • Ability to read mechanical and electrical blueprints
  • Ability to read and create BOM
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel - able to multi-task within programs)
Soft Skills
  • Strong communication - both written and verbal

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 12 Month(s).
Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Riverside, Michigan.
Work Environment

The team has 2 other people in the department and a parts supervisor. They will be working from 8-4:30.
