Zing Recruiting is partnered with an R&D team in the Medical Device Industry. We are seeking a Lead Engineer for this exciting opportunity The Lead R&D Engineer applies technical and subject matter expertise to conduct research activities pertaining to user needs identification, concept ideation, and technical feasibility. This role is part of a front-end innovation team responsible for generating new solutions for the Vascular Division by investigating and applying emerging technologies to future product roadmaps. This role will be responsible for Project Management activities and managing internal and external resources.** Hybrid role - Must be within a two hour commute of West Lafayette or Bloomington, Indiana or willing to relocate **Ideal Candidate ProfileBS degree in Biomedical, or Mechanical Engineering or similar with 7+ years relevant experience in medical device. Masters Degree with 5+ and PhD with 4+Highly skilled at Project Management with ability to lead cross-functional teamsExperience using analytical skills and problem solvingResponsibilitiesContribute to research activities in Vascular R&D as a subject matter expert in technical domainsLead large-scale or multiple research projects which may span across other R&D teams and/or functions with a high degree of independenceAssume responsibility for conducting and coordinating research activities, applying advanced analytical skills required to solve complex problems, and developing evidence-based recommendations for future workFormulate value propositions for new opportunities for innovation and portfolio expansion which may involve new therapeutic areas or marketsLead collaborative research activities within the team and with other functions to evaluate new technologiesContribute to the continuous improvement of practices and procedures which may involve other functionsMust work and interact effectively and professionally with and for others throughout various levels of the global organizationExcellent problem solving skills and ability to work in collaborative and independent work situations and environments with minimal supervisionIf your thrive in a Research & Development environment and have solid Project Management experience, this is an exciting opportunity for you to join an amazing company.Zing Recruiting, a leader in the staffing industry for the past 33 years, continues our vision of linking communities through employment.
