The Reporting Analyst is responsible for analyzing and interpreting data to provide insights supporting business decisions. This role will create and maintain reports, dashboards, and other visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders. Additionally, the Reporting Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams to review and cleanse data, facilitate systems training and documentation, and provide recommendations for process improvements.

RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

  • Communicate with internal stakeholders to help them interpret Paragon data and assist in addressing business challenges through data analytics.
  • Design and build standard reports and dashboards using multiple sources of data for various business processes and provide analytical insights to stakeholders, where appropriate.
  • Develop a deep understanding of business processes, reporting tools, and data structure to identify and provide actionable intelligence with existing metrics or to propose and develop new metrics, dashboards, scorecards and/or tools.
  • Develop and implement data quality checks to ensure the accuracy and consistency of data.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and requirements for reporting and analysis.
  • Facilitate first-level review and response to business user data service requests.
  • Provide training to the business on the use of reporting and analytic platforms, toolsets, data models, and reporting technologies
  • Document the BI system and associated processes.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in reporting and analytics.
  • Other projects and duties as assigned.
Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge/Skill/Ability
  • 3+ years of experience in the business intelligence domain with emphasis on Power BI.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Power BI, SSRS, Microsoft Excel, and T-SQL.
  • Experience in report/visualization design and development.
  • Knowledge of database design and data warehousing principles.
  • Advanced ability to review raw data for data cleansing and insight development.
  • Ability to uncover and identify stakeholder needs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, managing tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong negotiation and problem-resolution skills.
  • Well organized, ability to prioritize, and self-motivated.
  • The ability to adapt to rapid changes. Ability to juggle multiple tasks and handle unexpected delays or events while maintaining constant attention to detail.
  • Practice and promote teamwork and servant leadership style within the organization.
  • High level of dependability regarding attendance and punctuality.
EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor's Degree in an IT-related field or equivalent experience.
