Network Support - General
Remote Position
6+Month Contract

Overview: Client is seeking a skilled Network Infrastructure Specialist to join the team on a remote basis, operating during PST hours. This role requires expertise in networking, incident management, and service delivery, with a focus on maintaining network integrity and optimizing performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and manage network devices, utilizing tools like 'Netcool' and 'HP Openview' to identify and resolve outages.
  • Assess network performance criteria, conduct capacity analyses for wireless and wireline infrastructure, and contribute to network architecture design and evolution.
  • Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies for network enhancement and conduct economic studies to project network capacity needs.
  • Coordinate service requests and incidents, lead high severity incident responses, and engage stakeholders for timely resolution.
  • Present incident summaries to customers and create Root Cause Analysis reports for severe outages.
  • Proactively identify and eliminate recurring incidents to maintain service reliability.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in networking protocols and technologies (CCNA, CCNP, SD WAN), with experience in Transport (T1, Ethernet circuits).
  • Strong incident management and service management skills, with the ability to lead high severity incidents and manage break-fix activities.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective coordination with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Previous client-facing experience preferred.
  • Flexibility for occasional out-of-hours support for critical outages.
  • Availability to work Wednesday through Sunday, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm (PT), with Monday and Tuesday off.
