THE OPPORTUNITY

This is an exciting opportunity to be the first local hire in New York. The Senior Account Manager, Sport & Entertainment, will initially work across two of our key clients in sport around their partnerships in tennis and basketball. The role is varied and will have responsibilities that span account management, content planning and production (including influencer and talent management), brand experiences (ideation and production), event management & VIP hospitality.

You will be expected to add real value to our client's business. You will plan, create and activate a range of integrated campaigns for B2B & B2C clients and projects.

As the first local hire, you will also work closely with the VP to prospect new clients, supporting on the development of pitch responses for existing and new clients (an interest in Soccer & Formula 1 would be beneficial).

You will also have the opportunity to work with the London team to support the activation of global projects in North America (predominantly in Formula 1 & Formula E).

The position is based in New York, USA with some domestic & international travel. You will be required to come into the office 2-3 days a week to be with the team.

The ideal candidate would have experience delivering integrated campaigns across digital and live channels. You are creative and love to come up with ideas, but are not afraid to get stuck into the delivery of projects once signed off.

KEY SKILLS

This role will support the agency as a whole, specifically around the following areas;

1. Detailed project planning & management. The right candidate will be able to show how they have successfully developed and delivered campaigns from design to delivery.

2. Creativity. A key part of the role will be to come up with creative ideas, whether that be for a full campaign, and influencer content stream or a fan activation. You love to get creative but understand the need to be on brand and on brief.

3. Stakeholder Communication. Successful candidates will also be able to demonstrate advanced communication skills, and proven management of broad range of internal / external / client-led stakeholders across multiple international markets.

4. Client Servicing. As an agency we pride ourselves not just on delivering world-class, innovative programs, but also on the way we service our clients. A key task will be ensuring that you are always one step ahead of the client. You will need to be able to truly add value & to ensure the client has a positive experience of working with our agency.

5. Collaboration. As an initial team of 2 in New York you will be open and willing to collaborate with the UK & US team, appreciating that the demands of the role may change and evolve as the team does in New York.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
•Develop strong knowledge of our client's business strategy, solutions & services
•Lead a wide range of digital and live activations including planning, project management and evaluation
•Lead the planning & project management of client live experiences, brand experiences
•Stay abreast of new activation ideas, continue to review new suppliers & to show an interest in new innovative technology
•Build relationships with key stakeholders, and key suppliers to ensure results & continual improvement
•Create and present client-facing presentations, managing critical timings & client decision deadlines clearly & well in advance
•Have first-hand experience of taking an idea from concept through to production and go-live delivery
•Manage client budgets
•Support new business pitch proposals

Requirements

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
•4-5 years experience creative marketing, this does not have to be from a sports/entertainment background but would be beneficial
•Experience creating and delivering integrated campaigns for brands from planning to evaluation
•Knowledge or content production
•Knowledge of experiential production
•Knowledge of talent/influencer activation
•An understanding of the role sponsorship activation plays within the wider marketing mix
•Exceptional client management experience
•On site experience in a live events capacity
•Ability to adhere to and follow corporate processes and policies
•Capable of multi-tasking and working on several projects at one time
•Excellent inter-personal communication skills, both verbal and written
•Excellent organizational and time management capabilities
•Ability to work flexible work hours, including weekends when required
•Excellent expertise in all Microsoft Office products (Microsoft Project would be an advantage)
