We currently have exciting opportunities for a Full-Time Scientist with a background in Applied Physics, Material Physics, and/or Prototype Systems. Work is conducted on-site (in College Station, TX); schedule is 40 hrs/week, flexible within standard business hours. Work could begin as early as July 2024, but the posting will remain open until the position has been filled.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and assist with preparation of grant applications
  • Oversee and assist with overseeing technical projects
  • Work with multi-disciplinary teams to advance technology
  • Interact with customers and collaborators to advance technology
  • Manage financial budgets and resources relevant to assigned project(s)
  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert in relevant fields of development
Required Skills and Education:
  • D., degree in applied physics, engineering, material science, or a related field
  • Ability to design and carry out experiments
  • Data management and technical reporting skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team
  • Ability to interact with scientists and researchers from other disciplines
  • Excellent organizational and data management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven technical writing capabilities

  • 1-3 years of postdoctoral experience (industrial/academic) and/or professional experience.
  • Experience in proposal writing, grantsmanship, and project oversight.
  • Experience in one or more of the following fields:

    • Electrochemistry
