Job Description

Summary

Manages corporate tax department which includes overseeing the completion of income, franchise, property, sales and use, and miscellaneous tax reports and audits in order to minimize the tax obligations of the company.

Job Duties

  • Managing the preparation of federal and state income and franchise tax returns
  • Managing the preparation of sales/use, property, and miscellaneous tax returns
  • Managing tax audits including scheduling, record retrieval, and research
  • Establishing tax policies and procedures to insure compliance and minimize liability
  • Analyzing tax law changes to determine impact on company
Qualifications
  • B.S. Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • Requires computer operation skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel expertise
  • Requires previous experience in leading and managing financial analysis projects
  • Requires knowledge of tax compliance and tax research software
  • Requires strong strategic thinking and business problem solving skills
  • Requires strong interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Requires strong analytical skills and the ability to assemble and quickly analyze data
  • Requires excellent organization skills with accurate and precise attention to detail
  • Requires self-motivation with the ability to adapt quickly
  • The Mgr, Corporate Tax requires six plus (6+) years of experience in corporate taxation.
