Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Cooking and assisting in the preparation and serving of food
  • Cleaning of kitchen and equipment used in food preparation, serving and storage 
  • May supervise in the absence of the Cafeteria Manager
  • May participate in the ordering, production, preparation, serving of food and accurately following and adjusting recipes
  • May prepare reports, bank deposits, and other clerical duties as required

Preferred knowledge and skill in modern methods of large-scale cooking; good knowledge of the use and care of kitchen equipment and utensils; good knowledge of cleaning and sanitation procedures; demonstrated ability in the preparation of quantity and quality foods; ability to follow written and oral instructions and to use quantity recipes; ability to keep records and submit reports; physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position.

Minimum Qualifications:
One-year paid experience in the preparation of food is required.

Salary Range:
$16.44-17.98 per hour, based on experience.
