Mass General Brigham (MGB), a 12-hospital health system anchored by the Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) and Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), major teaching affiliates of Harvard Medical School, seeks a US modality service chief to oversee physician clinical operations for US across MGB. The US Service Chief will work with the US clinical director and the relevant subspecialty divisions across MGB to ensure appropriate scheduling, performance, quality, and growth of US services across sites. MGB offers comprehensive and high-volume ultrasound services in hospital-based and ambulatory settings, including high-risk obstetrics ultrasound at BWH locations, and boasts advanced US expertise. The diverse US team includes radiologists, trainees, technologists, and administrative staff across multiple divisions and locations, and enjoys close ties with the Ob-Gyn at BWH, and vascular surgery and vascular medicine departments at BWH, MGH, and various community hospitals serviced by the Enterprise Service Group (ESG). Reporting directly to the MGH, BWH, and ESG Deputy Chairs of Radiology and the MGB Chief of Radiology Enterprise, the MGB US Service Chief will streamline and expand the US services across the system, develop new services and techniques, participate in capital purchase decisions, develop operational and financial performance metrics, and formulate relevant policies and workflows. The successful candidate will also collaborate with administrative leaders on finance and volume management. The US Service Chief will interface with relevant physician and non-physician stakeholders, including technical leads, division chiefs, quality and safety teams, and collaborators outside the radiology department. Candidates should have a record of clinical and academic interest and expertise in ultrasound. Academic rank is anticipated to be Instructor, Assistant Professor, or Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School.
