Description
Job Summary:
The Human Resources Assistant supports the Human Resources dept. with a variety of administrative tasks related to Payroll, Talent Acquisition, and a wide variety of HR Functions. The Human Resources Assistant will be responsible for the oversight of the onboarding and will work closely with all regional recruiters and location managers to meet the company needs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
- Prepares new employee files and completes new employee documentation.
- Ensure the onboarding process is handled in a professional manner by working closely with regional recruiters and locations managers.
- Aduit new hire paperwork for CDL driver to ensure that it meets DOT and FMCSA regulations.
- Maintain and schedule training for all CDL drivers during training processes.
- Maintain current employees' certifications to ensure drivers are meeting DOT and FMCA requirements.
- Enter new hires into the payroll system.
- Conduct and review background checks and Motor Vehicle reports for new hires.
- Support Human Resources Manager and Payroll with administrative duties.
- Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees related to the hiring process and training.
- Perform periodic audits on HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
- Update HR Database with current information.
- Preparing monthly reports
- Maintains employee's confidence and protects operations by keeping Human Resources information confidential.
- Handles employee-related inquiries from employees, and supervisors, referring complex and sensitive e matters to the appropriate staff.
- Assist in benefits administration to include enrollments for new hires, terminated employees, and Qualifying events.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
Education:
Associate degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required. With a minimum of two years of human resource experience preferred.
