Overview:

Our client, a leading Fortune 100 Credit Union, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sr. Data Analyst to join their dynamic team. This role is pivotal in building and enhancing statistical and predictive models for risk-based quantitative analysis. The Sr. Data Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, machine learning engineers, and data visualizers, to deliver impactful projects. Responsibilities include developing proofs of concept, creating communication strategies for various management levels, and implementing analytics systems to address complex problems with simple frameworks. The ideal candidate will possess advanced skills in SQL and Excel, a strong understanding of database design and data modeling, and the ability to develop effective data visualization strategies.

Responsibilities:
  • Build and enhance statistical and predictive models for risk-based quantitative analysis.
  • Applies scientific, data mining, and statistical theory and methods to test hypotheses using structured and unstructured data.
  • Partner with a cross-functional team of data engineers, machine learning engineers, and data visualizers to deliver projects.
  • Develops proofs of concept or demonstrations to evaluate feasibility of project solutions and recommends visualization strategies.
  • Develop communication strategies of concepts and results for multiple levels of management and technical expertise.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain analytics systems, taking complicated problems and building simple frameworks.
  • Identify trends and opportunities for growth through analysis of complex datasets.
  • Evaluate organizational methods and provide source-to-target mappings and information-model specification documents for datasets.
  • Create best-practice reports based on data mining, analysis, and visualization.
  • Evaluate internal systems for efficiency, problems, and inaccuracies, and develop and maintain protocols for handling, processing, and cleaning data.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Candidates are required to be legally authorized to work in the United States without a sponsoring employer indefinitely. *We can only accept the following at this time: US Citizens, GC EAD's, GC Holders, TN Visas.
  • Must be able to work a W2 Contract, we can't do C2C arrangements.
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in mathematical principles and concepts, and familiarity with scientific and engineering disciplines for complex statistical analysis.
  • Technical writing experience in queries, reports, and presentations.
  • Strong SQL and Excel skills with a readiness to learn other analytics tools.
  • Solid understanding of database design, data mining, and data modeling concepts.
  • Proven capability in developing effective data visualization strategies.
  • Advanced communication skills to convey technical and non-technical information clearly to all management levels.
Desired Attributes:
  • Doctorate degree in a related field.
  • Advanced proficiency with SQL, Python, Jupyter Notebook/Lab, Visual Studio Code, and other statistical analysis tools.
  • Experience with data visualization applications like PowerBI and Plotly.
  • Familiarity with Agile principles and tools like Azure DevOps.
  • Experience working with Cybersecurity Frameworks and related data.
