Job Summary: General accounting duties, such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and primary general ledger review. Maintain records, prepare financial reports and paperwork and ensure that all work is completed in compliance with agency policy, and State and Federal regulations. This position reports directly to the Director of Financial Operations. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB: Responsible for fixed asset software data entry and completion of depreciation entries. Review transactions impacting the general ledger. Audit entries and reconcile general ledge accounts as needed/assigned. Assist with review of accounts receivable accounts, coordinate internal audits, communicate issues as needed. Prepare monthly journal entries as assigned; prepare internal financial reports for the company. Ability to work cooperatively with staff, vendors, auditors. Requirements:

SKILLS REQUIRED TO PERFORM THE DUTIES OF THE JOB: Understanding of accounting principles. Ability to maintain moderately complex records, documentation, and prepare reports from such records. Maintain confidentiality. Must possess motivation, initiative, and independence to work without direct supervision Must be flexible, reliable, and dependable with the ability to embrace change without complaint. Must be able to multi-task and to prioritize work effectively and efficiently. Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner and develop alternative solutions as necessary. EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO PERFORM THE DUTIES OF THE JOB: Bachelor degree in Accounting or Business with accounting classes preferred. Payroll experience preferred but not required. 2 years related experience.
