They provide a comfortable and safe healing environment for our patients by performing comprehensive housekeeping tasks that ensure clean, sanitary and attractive facilities. They follow standard procedures in the safe disposal of infectious waste and trash and safely use cleaning chemicals in accordance with Joint Commission and OSHA standards. They use supplies appropriately and effectively and report problems with equipment and with the facility in an appropriate and timely manner. The Environmental Services Tech (Housekeeper) has the opportunity to make a difference in the patients' lives every day through their courteous and efficient service. They clean and disinfect assigned areas using department cleaning proceduresThis position is responsible for performing general housekeeping tasks to maintain the facility and associated buildings in a sanitary, safe, and attractive condition and to meet hospital and Joint Commission standards.Posting Specifics:Pay Rate: Based on Experience.Shift Details: Days (7:00am - 3:30pm) & WILL INCLUDE Rotating Weekends and Assigned holidaysFull-Time (40 hrs/wk) Department: Environmental Services at McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden, UTAdditional Details: Needs to be able to adapt to different situations.
