Position Summary

The Senior FP&A Analyst holds a pivotal role in spearheading the company's forecasting and analytical endeavors. Operating within a global capacity, this critical role collaborates with key stakeholders across the organization to drive the development of sophisticated financial analyses, forecasts, and models to support strategic business decisions. Leveraging advanced tools and organizational data, the Senior FP&A Analyst delivers actionable insights that streamline operations and elevate business performance. The Sr. FP&A Analyst plays a lead role in fostering a data-driven decision-making culture, driving the adoption of analytical methodologies across the organization.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead and drive the forecasting process, with a focus on developing comprehensive margin forecasts, departmental expense budgets, and capital expenditure plans, while providing valuable insights derived from scenario analyses.
  • Collaborate closely with the Financial Operations & Financial Reporting teams to drive Month End Close Revenue & Contribution Margin reconciliation, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Assists in driving the Capital Expenditure approval process. Reconciles Actual Capital Expenditures monthly vs the most recent forecast. Provides insight into variances to previous forecasts & develops recommendations for future forecasting targets.
  • Develop and maintain advanced tools for the finance team, facilitating efficient and effective forecasting processes, and providing necessary training to users.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to develop sophisticated models supporting various initiatives such as price negotiations and customer terms agreements.
  • Work closely within the FP&A team and with Business Leaders to deploy analytics tools, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), ensuring alignment with business objectives, and conducting training sessions for business users.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of margin discrepancies across the organization's portfolio, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
  • Perform other ad-hoc intelligence and data mining requests as needed, leveraging analytical techniques to extract meaningful insights in response to evolving business needs.
Basic Qualifications

Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business related field
Experience:
  • 3-5 years of experience working in financial analysis and reporting, manufacturing environment preferred
  • Strong Mathematical foundation
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical, and research skills.
  • Experience with complex financial models, financial consolidation, and conducting insightful analyses to support strategic decision-making
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills
  • Ability to write in a clear and concise manner, etc.
  • Ability to communicate with business users across the organization.
  • Ability to speak effectively, present information, respond to questions in a clear and concise manner, etc.
  • Must demonstrate attention to detail, be able to work independently or as member of a team.
  • Excellent project management skills with an ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with tight timelines
  • Self-starter with intellectual curiosity & the ability to operate independently and within a team
  • Intellectual curiosity. Dedicated worker who is eager to learn new things
  • OR Equivalent Combination of Education and Experience


Advanced Qualifications
  • 5-8 years of experience working in financial analysis and reporting, manufacturing environment preferred
  • Experience using SAP S4 HANA, Hyperion Financial Management
  • Prior Public Accounting Experience and / or CPA designation
  • Expert in Microsoft Office; Excel specifically.
