Overview:

First National Bank of Americas Loan Servicing Team is looking for a professional and genial Tax Analyst to ensure accurate and timely disbursement of tax escrow funds, while providing exceptional service and adhering to compliance regulations. The successful candidate will be efficient, analytical and motivated by deadlines to strive to complete work with time to spare. The Tax Analyst must have an eye for detail, problem-solving abilities, a capability to multi-task and prioritize. Strong written and oral communication skills, a strong self-drive and a will-do attitude are necessary for this position.

Monday - Friday

8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

25-30 hours/week

Location: On-site at our Lansing, Michigan office

Responsibilities:
  • Timely disbursement of escrow funds to tax authorities and home owner associations (HOAs) using in-house and third-party systems
  • Prompt action upon receipt of delinquent tax notifications to protect the banks interest
  • Effectively communicate, both orally and in writing, with tax agencies, customers and internal departments to ensure an exceptional servicing experience for our borrowers
  • Ensure prompt and accurate data entry of tax set up and tax bills into servicing software
Qualifications:
  • Technology driven to seek ways to make processes more efficient and suggestions to management
  • Escrow and/or Tax experience beneficial, but not required
  • Experience with Lereta tax servicing beneficial, but not required
  • Bilingual communication, in Spanish or Portuguese, desired, but not required
