Main Function: The Coordinator position reports to Vice President, Construction Accounting and will be responsible for the coordination and monitoring of all phases of the tenant allowance and leasing commission process across Brixmor’s national platform. This position is responsible for providing daily administration of financial matters related to ongoing and proposed Tenant Allowance / Leasing Commission Requests as well as assisting with general corporate accounting tasks surrounding the fixed asset, G&A, and debt compliance processes. The position requires a general understanding of the retail construction industry, the construction process, and broker agreements. Other requirements include personal initiative, organization, accuracy, attention to detail, verbal & written communication skills, judgment, and confidentiality. Duties & Responsibilities: Review and administer Tenant Allowance reimbursement requests Review and administer Leasing Commission requests Read and interpret leases, and broker agreements Assemble documents for entry into e-Builder Review documents for accuracy and completeness Open and amend commitments in e-Builder Code invoices for payment according to budget; submit to stakeholders for approval Track payment progress, research information and run reports using accounting software as required Coordinate with other departments and personnel as needed Maintain tools used to track department data Work independently and within a team on special, nonrecurring, and ongoing projects Assist the regional controllers in order to accurately project, input, and monitor activity within the project management software. Assist in the development of executive level reports & analysis related to project costs. Accurately and efficiently manage the tracking of budgets for multiple regions and departments Position Requirements : Good verbal & written communication skills (both internal & external customers) Must possess good analytical skills and problem-solving abilities Must be able to assume initiative and work independently with minimal direction Strong attention to detail and organization; able to focus on multiple tasks simultaneously Intermediate to advanced level in MS Outlook, Word and Excel, PowerPoint Experience with e-Builder or comparable enterprise type system is required Strong math skills and familiarity with accounting principles Ability to coordinate activities and efforts within a “team oriented” environment Good time management and prioritizing skills with the ability to meet assigned project(s) deadlines Exhibits a “results oriented” approach to tasks, assignments and responsibilities Proven ability to interact successfully with multiple levels of the organization Ability to handle confidential information Ability to work required hours and additional time as may be necessary to meet project requirements Education and Experience : A BA/BS undergraduate degree Minimum 3 years’ experience in construction or retail real estate administrative support Brixmor offers a hybrid work schedule (first two days of the week in the office, the balance from home), very competitive pay commensurate with background and responsibilities plus a benefits and perks package that supports career engagement, growth, good health and connection with teammates and our communities.
