This position involves impactful work with a great team. This opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented and articulate individual with the ability to work collaboratively in support of the PFS. In this position, the candidate will conduct safety reviews, review system safety plans, and audit program level PFS’s qualification packages. The ideal candidate brings a wealth of ship system safety knowledge. The candidate should have experience with NAVSEA Operations as well as experience as a Department of Defense PFS. The ideal candidate has significant experience in providing guidance and training in system safety engineering policy, methods, and standard practices. Work location is on site at the Washington Navy Yard , with potential for light telework. Travel: Infrequent local travel.
