The Regulatory Project Manager is a member of the Yale New Haven Health (YNHHS) Office of the Chief Clinical Officer and reports directly to the Vice President, Accreditation and Regulatory Affairs, YNHHS. The incumbent supports the development and implementation of a variety of initiatives as well as overall management, planning, and organization of high level project work, meetings, and collaboratives (e.g., Regulatory Conferences). This position is responsible for supporting the organization of projects, ensuring progress according to targets, and supporting the development of care signature for practices guided by regulatory/legal standards. S/he is responsible for guiding and managing the efforts of assigned project (operational, clinical, environment of care, life safety, among others) and program workgroups associated with the Accreditation and Regulatory Affairs strategy, both at the system and delivery network levels. S/he provides project management and other project support for divisional functions. S/he works both collaboratively and independently to support the divisional and organizational needs. Responsible for detailed management and monitoring of project work plans and milestones to ensure timely completion and implementation as assigned by the VP, Accreditation and Regulatory Affairs, or other member of the leadership team. 1.1 Manages and monitors project work plan and ensures that project milestones are met by the pre-determined completion date. 2. Directs and manages all divisional projects, duties as assigned by the VP and leadership team to enhance the efficient operations of the Accreditation and Regulatory Affairs Department. 2.1 Manages, participates, and leads system divisional huddle processes and staff meetings. Qualifications: EDUCATION Bachelor's Degree in healthcare administration, liberal arts, communications, marketing, or related field required. Master's degree in healthcare related field preferred. EXPERIENCE Three to five years experience in healthcare administration, communications, or a related area at a healthcare institution. Candidate should have experience working with senior executives, as well as experience with both internal and external communications, including writing, editing, working with and managing deadlines. Experience with project management at the executive level. Experience with accreditation and regulatory agencies, and their standards, is preferred. LICENSURE None required. SPECIAL SKILLS Ability to organize resources and establish priorities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively at all levels in a collaborative team environment. Knowledge and understanding of relevant clinical workflow, operating systems, policies and procedures relevant to accreditation and regulatory standards . Ability to organize, lead and hold self and others accountable. Ability to delegate effectively. Ability to effectively establish and maintain working relationships with peers and consultants at all levels of the organization. Knowledge of project management software tools as well as strong desktop tool usage including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. PHYSICAL DEMAND None.
