Position Summary The Operations Manager position leads the Operations Management Team and will work under direct supervision of the Asst. General Manager. This position serves as the primary driver of Fleet and Plant Operations. This position is responsible for the safety, quality and profitability of all field activities within the Resource Center. The Operations Manager must be familiar with and ensure strict adherence and maintenance of the plants and fleets compliance with corporate/office policies and procedures, established health & safety protocols, and all applicable local, state and federal regulations.

Specific Responsibilities Primary Responsibilities include: Serve as the primary driver of the Resource Center operations that meet all Company objectives of:

Quality - Health & Safety, Regulatory Compliance, Professionalism Customer Satisfaction – Responsiveness, Exceeding Client Expectations Profitability – Cost Control, Proper Resource Allocation and Efficiency Growth – Employee Development

Remain in active contact with Logistics Coordinator and Yard Supervisor throughout the day to assure clients’ expectations are exceeded and the smooth, safe, compliant and profitable operation of the plant and fleet. Follow up with vendors and service providers throughout project execution and close-out Perform related duties as needed to support an effective and smooth operation in the field and plant Provide guidance and support to employees by effectively communicating and enforcing company policies and procedures Maintain up to date knowledge on all applicable local, state and federal regulations Secondary Responsibilities Include: Build and maintain strong relationship with clients and potential clients Communicate plant and equipment needs with maintenance department Participate in internal budget and business meetings Assist in the negotiation of retail oil sales Maintain chemical inventory Complete corrective action and disciplinary action reporting for direct reports Responsible to maintain cleanliness of facility and safe operating conditions at all times Accumulate and review required compliance-related documentation for completeness, accuracy, quality and follow up actions Maintain current Standard Operating Procedures for Plant operations Participate in daily safety huddles Approve payroll weekly for direct reports Review, approve and coordinate requests for time off for Logistics Coordinator and Yard Supervisor Ensure logistics and plant staff are current on their required training Ensure the fleet and plant are operating in accordance with all local, state and federal regulations Complete annual performance review of Logistics Coordinator and Operations Supervisor Other duties as assigned

Qualifications Required Qualifications include: High School Diploma or GED (equivalent reading, writing and reasoning skills); Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required At least (4) years of operational leadership at the supervisory level Strong communication (both written and verbal), analytical and persuasive skills and ability to interact effectively with all levels of clients, employees and management Must be multi-task oriented and have strong supervisory, time management, organizational and problem-solving skills and the ability to understand and analyze components of job costs, profit and loss General working knowledge of OSHA 1910, 1915 and 1926 standards, DOT standards and other applicable federal, state and local standards Broad understanding of equipment capabilities and requirements of different types of jobs Ability to work in a wide range of environments including those involving hazardous conditions which may require lifting of exerting force exceeding 50 lbs. Must have appropriate licenses, in good standing and meet applicable MER and DOT driving requirements to operate company vehicles and equipment (documentation is required) Ability to work in excess of regularly scheduled hours when necessary Ability to travel overnight as required by business needs Successful completion of a pre-employment background and substance abuse screening process including, but not limited to, employment verifications, criminal search, Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) search as well as continued verifications throughout employment to ensure that all records meet company policy standards.
