The Director, Patient Care – Ambulatory Services (Director) will provide operational oversight within the service line and participate in strategic planning at the service line, facility, and system level. Provides nurses with an environment that supports their professional practice, health, and well-being.The Director will have oversight for operational and capital budgets as well as quality metrics and staff/patient satisfaction. The scope of services includes 5 Resident Clinics: OB/GYN, Primary Care, Psychiatry, Surgical Wound/Hyperbaric and Specialty Care. Procedural areas: GI Labs, Pain Management Center, Interventional Pulmonology, Outpatient Infusion, and Sickle Cell Treatment Center. Leadership structure: 3 Senior Clinical Program Managers as well as 10 Managers across the service line.
Opportunity Highlights:
Collaborate with Medical Directors and WUSM leaders in establishing dyad models of care.
Coach, guide, and mentor leadership team and staff to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care focused on patient safety and high reliability.
Establish performance metrics to measure success and develop action plans for performance improvement in collaboration with dyad physician partnerships.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees, one of which must be in Nursing. Eligible for RN license in MO.
Minimum of five years of contemporary leadership experience or service line leadership experience in a complex ambulatory setting.
Proven experience improving throughput and ensuring access to care.
Experience with underserved populations; able to build an inclusive environment for patients, families, and employees.
