Role Overview

Responsibilities

Support month-end accounting process by preparing journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and financial reports. Analyze financial data and provide variance analysis to identify trends and potential areas of improvement. Ensure internal controls practices comply with Sarbanes-Oxley, internal policy and any other applicable rules and regulations. Provide support to internal and external interim and year-end audits. Assist with special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as needed.

Qualifications

Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. Desired 1-2 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in the financial services industry. Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices. Solid understanding of internal controls. Preferred strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience with SAP general ledger software and Hyperion Essbase a plus. Desired strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills. Flexibility to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
