Senior management level tactical and strategic responsibility for heading a business unit resulting in the delivery of services for multiple clients, multiple internal stakeholders, or multiple projects in an accurate, timely and high-quality manner. Responsible for the day-to-day management of client support engagements, sub-groups and/or projects. Also, will lead specific key projects related to the successful enhancement of overall SAM operations, such as the LIBOR Transition project to be developed, implemented throughout 2021 and into 2022, and the integration of the legacy Situs and Cohen platforms. This position requires a strong command of CRE loan servicing, asset management processes, loan data and protocols as it relates to most CRE property types with the ability to handle virtually any project issue without input from senior management. Administrative and fiscal tactical oversight is required requiring responsibility for managing, mentoring and developing staff. Required to provide hands-on management together with strategic direction in the day-to-day operation of the department. Hands-on work is frequently required at all levels of the job. Responsibilities include developing, implementing and seeing core operational projects through to successful completion; interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; addressing internal and external complaints, and resolving problems. Work to implement the current strategic plan while planning towards a greater vision is critical to this role. Essential Job Functions: Manage and supervise staff, projects and/or processes Manage internal shared services and/or external vendor resource groups for operational leverage to achieve optimal outcome balancing efficiency/effectiveness/economics Actively participate with business development & marketing department staff to identify prospective clients, new business services and maintain an awareness of market competitors and influences that impact the business Provide strategic direction to the business through a collaborative involvement of the business’ senior management team Ensure SAM is being presented and positioned appropriately in industry publications, conferences, etc. for current service offerings and career opportunities Develop event budget, approve conference attendance, monitor and foster industry involvement of the business unit Develop and monitor department/client/account strategy/projects and performance metrics Work with the business development group to enhance internal education efforts of employees and particularly in other SitusAMC business units to support and promote cross selling opportunities Maintain awareness of SitusAMC’s relationships and service offerings to ensure maximum client service penetration Utilize the system that is implemented to manage the employees, provide clarity on employee availability, performance metrics and competency that allows transparency on resource availability Maintain and enhance quality control procedures across the business unit platform Oversee the acquisition and dissemination of relevant economic, real estate and capital market information and trends Assist with management and collection of client A/R Become a catalyst to assist the business unit’s senior management in developing strategies and monitoring performance that measures achievement of defined strategies Participates in the employee compensation process including salary, bonus and promotion criteria Interface with SitusAMC’s senior management regarding the alignment of objectives, communications, cooperation, and shared opportunities/resources throughout the company Manage upward relationships: reporting operating results, securing assistance and discussing major decisions Manage infrastructure relationships: team/collaborative approach in accomplishing objectives This position supervises others Such other activities as may be assigned by your manager Qualifications/ Requirements: Minimum of a bachelor’s degree with a preferred field of study; legal, accounting, finance, real estate, management, JD and or MBA degree preferred, or equivalent level of education and experience Minimum 15+ years’ experience in CRE loan servicing and asset management Minimum 15+ years’ of management experience Manages and mentors employees to ensure their success Assists with managing, growing, and identifying talent including leveraging college internship programs to develop/capture early talent Improving relationships with internal/external clients at a strategic and tactical level Responsible for profit and loss accountability for the assigned business unit Continually provide an objective assessment of the business unit’s staff, employee morale, products and services, and the tools used in delivering the services, and make suggestions and recommendations for ways to improve Leads or assists in seeking out/developing new or current business relationships Comprehensive understanding of the due diligence process with in-depth project management approach to multiple transactions Required to oversee and/or personally execute the research, analysis and narrative parts of the due diligence process for multiple client assignments simultaneously Identify & understand the internal/external client’s work scope and the business unit’s value add to the final client deliverable Fully competent in handling all aspects of fieldwork, subject property’s competitive position, and must be able to provide feedback to clients on findings and conclusions Understand and handle loan portfolio information Superior business writing skills Management responsibility for junior level staff in meeting project deadlines Proactive in the community and advance SitusAMC’s name recognition in the industry Capability for determining accurate job costing and recommending pricing for transactions and completing engagement letters with internal/external clients Works independently on projects and collaborates as a team player Strong leadership skills Ability to manage direct reports Note: This job description is not intended to be all inclusive or exclusive.
