Transportation Coordinator

Our client,is seeking a Transportation Coordinatorto join their team. As a Transportation Coordinator , you will be part of the department and supporting the team.

Job Title: Transportation Coordinator

Location: Remote (with training requirements near St. Louis, MO, Denver, CO, Crete, NE, Davenport, IA, or Clinton, IA)

What's the Job?

• Process customer orders, screening for product availability using SAP and SAP TM.
• Maintain effective cross-functional communication across all areas of NPPC Supply Chain / Logistics.
• Procure and secure carriers for delivered loads and facilitate pickup appointments for customer-managed loads.
• Monitor open orders, execute reschedule needs for delivery and customer pick-ups.
• Manage trailer availability and facility drop counts to ensure timely loading and consistent equipment supply.
• Collaborate closely with warehouse peer groups and leadership to ensure loading plans are achievable.
• Review product availability daily, investigate shortages, and seek improvements to support order fill.
• Execute and solicit carrier capacity commitments and measure performance.

What's Needed?

• Monitor shipment status and ensure on-time pick-up, in-transit, and delivery completion.
• Tender loads to carriers, ensuring routing guide assignments are executed.
• Notify appropriate groups of any product supply issues and collaborate on resolutions.
• Participate in customer promotions and ensure carrier capacity needs are met.
• Assist with appointment scheduling and carrier scheduling as needed.
• Consolidate customer orders into full truckloads when necessary.
• Review and process carrier accessorial charges.
• Assist local transport teams with internal training and knowledge transfer.
• Education: High School Diploma
• Experience: 2+ years in Customer Service in a manufacturing or transportation environment.
