Overview:

The Mechanical Engineer IV provides mechanical engineering expertise in the early stages of design. They coordinate project design and analyze complex construction problems. They will perform a variety of complex duties in support of the development and manufacturing of space mechanisms, actuators, motors, twist caps, and motor controllers operating in a space environment.

Responsibilities:
YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Design and analysis on Space related electromechanical products.
  • Develop comprehensive mechanical designs with a functional understanding of the other engineering disciplines' responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to project teams as required from initial design to production
  • Perform advanced analyses (thermal, structural, and tolerance) without guidance
  • Develop mechanical designs for new products, fabrication fixturing, and test fixturing
  • Create and review engineering documentation packages
  • Mentor MEII, III, employees by providing training on job junctions, reviewing work, and providing overall project guidance
  • Provide inputs to engineering design reviews including calculations, analyses, drawings, etc. to show compliance to specifications and project objectives and standards
  • Interact with customers and vendors as necessary based on project scope; makes presentations to communicate engineering findings
  • Support Bid & Proposal activities A/R


Qualifications:
HOW TO SUCCEED To join us youll need: Minimum Requirements:
  • Generally eight (8) or more years of experience in the design of electromechanical products
  • Mechanical Engineering (Bachelor's degree) or Related Field of Study
  • Ability to obtain and/or maintain a Security Clearance
  • CAD Software (Advanced)
  • Analysis (Advanced)
  • Blueprint Reading (Advanced)
  • Communication (Advanced)
  • Time Management (Advanced)
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Advanced)
  • This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by either ITAR or EAR U.S. export laws. As a condition to this job offer, in order to be employed in this position, you must be able to obtain an U.S. Government export license(s), as required by law.

Salary Range: $123,745 annually - $154,681 annually

Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate
