Some required qualifications include:
* Must be a Licensed Veterinary Technician in NYS.
* Eligible for NY Licensure

Some of the job responsibilities include:
* Assisting doctors in surgery.
* Inducing and monitoring anesthesia using various multiparameter equipment.
* Client communication includes patient histories, in-patient updates, and diagnostic results.
* Performing venipuncture and placing intravenous catheters.
* Taking digital radiographs and monitoring patients for CT procedures.
* Placement of Nasogastric tubes, central lines, and urinary catheters
* Administer canine and feline blood products.
* Recover patients post-operatively.
* Cross training to include: general and specialty surgery, oncology, internal medicine, neurology and critical care.

In order to be successful in this position you must:
* Have the ability to multitask in a face-paced environment.
* Have high attention to detail.
* Great communication with DVMs and other team members.
* Eager to expand skill set and mentor LVTs and Veterinary Assistants
* Confidence to advocate for patients needs and suggest alternatives.
